Description:

Emas Bridge (Baturusa 2 Bridge) middle span was built in 2010 with a twin leaf bascule or lifting bridge system by PT. PP (Persero) Tbk as the main contractor and PT. Waagner Biro Indonesia as a fabricator.

This Bridge middle span length about 97 meters.

The bascule system is used to support ship traffic from Baturusa River to the port of Pangkalan Balam.

As for the bridge, it was built to become a new Bangka Belitung Islands tourism icon and as a connecting between the two districts of Ketapang, Pangkal Pinang, and Air Anyir Village, Merawang.

This bridge is the only bridge with twin bascule technology around Sumatra

This bridge was inaugurated in 2017 by Rustam Effendi, Governor of the Bangka Belitung Islands
