Description:

The 5th bridge across the Danube River with a total length of 644m was built by a group of companies led by Waagner-Biro and opened to traffic in 1982. The 32m wide bridge links the roads on the Handelskai with the highway along the Danube. The helical ramps for pedestrians and cyclists are a special feature of the bridge. It consists of a river span (355m) and a flood bridge (275m) which are separated by a 14m long intermediate piece.
