Puente Cochrane had remained in service until February 2024, when it was dismantled using a cantilever de-launch methodology. The bridge was removed in only 50 hours using 7 workers. Afterwards the bridge parts were checked and handed over to the local office of the Ministry of Public Works (MOP) for further re-use at some other location in the near future.
