Description:

Waagner-Biro Bridge Systems is one of the main suppliers of temporary, modular and rental bridging. In December 2021, Waagner-Biro delivered a rental bridge to temporarily span across the Perschling river in the small village of Kapelln. The temporary bridge had become necessary for diverting traffic across it during construction works on the existing Perschling bridge.

The temporary bridge had a single span of 30.480m / 100 feet and was fitted with 1 external walkway attached to the outer truss. The steel deck elements were supplied with a chequer plate finish. The provisional road bridge was designed to support Eurocode with alpha a = 0.7.

The structure was first assembled and then lifted in by crane as a whole. In September 2022, the bridge was dismantled again and returned to Waagner-Biro’s stock of bridge parts. The rental period lasted from December 2021 to September 2022.
