Panel bridge Bruckneudorf

Facts and Figures:

Place/Country: Bruckneudorf/Austria
Completion: 2004
Project type: Panel Bridge (for pedestrians)
Client: Leitha Wasserverband II/Potzneusiedl-Seibers

Description:

In spring 2004 the municipality of Bruckneudorf made the decision to replace the existing dilapidated wooden bridge spanning the river Leitha. Short erection time and relatively favourable prices as compared to alternative bridge offers using wood or aluminium were crucial in awarding the contract to Waagner Biro.

The supplied panel bridge (Bailey-type bridge) was executed as 120-foot (36.57-meter) pedestrian bridge. The transoms were designed for a footbridge width of 2.1m. Erection of the bridge took place under the supervision of an engineer of Waagner Biro.
