Description:

In 1993 Waagner Biro built the cable-stayed connection bridge for pedestrians and cyclists between the residential area Kaisermühlen and the recreation area of the Danube Island in Vienna. The towers have a height of 19m. The total steel weight amounts to approximately 290 tons. The pedestrian and cyclist bridge has a total length of 207m and is 4m wide. The deck consists of a reinforced concrete slab installed on a floor made of sheet metal with trapezoidal corrugation.
