Description:

At the end of 2008, the city government in Seoul contracted Waagner Biro for the supply of an emergency panel bridge (Bailey-type bridge). The scope of supplies comprised thedelivery of a 70m long and 4.2m wide bridge with a pair of ramps, a launching nose including rollerequipment, as well as the implementation of a training program on site in Seoul. With the help of a ten-headed erection team, two Waagner-Biro supervisors assembled the 110m long bridge colossus (bridge and launching nose) in the short time of only 69 hours, following which the bridge was pulled across an imaginary river bed by means of steel ropes.
