Footbridge Malecón de Salado

Built in 2003 by Waagner-Biro, the 55m arched footbridge allows safe passage of a busy highway which cuts through a popular recreational area called Malecón de Salado in Guayaquil.

Kendal Bridge Belize

Kaisermuehlen Bridge Vienna

In 1993 Waagner Biro built the 207-metre cable-stayed bridge for pedestrians and cyclists between the residential area Kaisermühlen and the recreation area of the Danube Island in Vienna.

Jauntal Bridge

Crossing 95m above the Drau River valley, the single track bridge with a total length of 428.26 meters is one of Europe's highest railway bridges up to the present day. It was builty by Waagner-Biro in 1961.

Floating Bridge Dubai

The 365m long Floating Bridge Dubai carries six lanes over the Dubai Creek. At its centre is a movable bridge section to provide an unobstructed shipping lane. The entire construction was completed in a record time of just 23 days.

Golden Horn Metro Swing Bridge Istanbul

The Golden Horn Metro Swing Bridge is a 120-metre bridge in the heart of Istanbul, built across the inlet of the Bosporus, known as the Golden Horn. Waagner-Biro was responsible for the design and installation of the drive mechanism of the swing bridge.

Freight train bypass bridges near Sankt Poelten

In 2004, Waagner-Biro built three arch bridges with spans of 113m and 95m, respectively. The bridges span across the new high-speed and freight train bypass section of the Western Railway east of Sankt Poelten.

Fly-Over Ramp

Fly-over ramps are used when maintenance work on the surfaces or the expansion joints of roadways disturbs the flow of traffic. Since 1999, Waagner-Biro has supplied several of them for the cities of Vienna, Rotterdam and Basel, where they have been in regular use ever since.

Europa Bridge

The Europa Bridge is a 820-metre-long bridge carrying the A13 Brenner Autobahn 190m over the Wipp valley just south of Innsbruck, Tyrol, Austria. Its longest span is 198m.

Emergency Response Bridges for Iraq

In 2016, Waagner-Biro supplied fourteen double-lane steel panel (Bailey-type) bridges, each equipped with anti-skid steel decks, to Iraq. At the end of January 2018, the first Waagner-Biro panel bridge was completed across the river Tigris in Mosul to restore a disrupted key route.

Holbein Bridge Frankfurt

The Holbein Steg is a pedestrian suspension bridge spanning the Main River in Frankfurt. The steel supporting structure has a middle span of 142 m and a total length of 210 m.

Donaustadt Bridge Vienna

The Donaustadt Bridge is a striking 343m long cable-stayed bridge across the Danube River in Vienna. Built by Waagner-Biro, it has a main span of 186m, an orthotropic plate and a 75m high steel A-shaped pylon.

Andreas Maurer Bridge (Danube Bridge)

The Andreas-Maurer-Bridge is the only bridge crossing the Danube River between Vienna and Bratislava. The cable stayed bridge fascinates as an elegant structure. It is 1872 metres long, of which 366 metres cross the actual river.

Construction site bridge near Großsierning

The bridge across the Sierning Brook was a temporary construction site bridge designed for Eurocode. It was installed for a few months in 2017 while replacement works were undergoing for an old road bridge.
